Punirunes wanted to turn the act of buying into part of the fun.
BGWG Monster Media created a custom vending machine software experience that bridged mobile shopping with real-time dispensing — allowing fans to shop, pay, and receive their Punirune in seconds.
Fans approached the vending machine and scanned a QR code that launched a mobile storefront. The interface was optimized for speed and mobile usability, allowing users to browse available Punirune characters and select their favorite.
Once a selection was made, fans checked out via a secure Stripe payment gateway — no apps or logins required. Payments were processed instantly, triggering the next phase of the experience.
Immediately after the purchase was confirmed, the vending machine dispensed the selected Punirune character in real time. The purchase felt instant and rewarding, seamlessly connecting digital input with physical output.
Real-Time Purchase Flow: The entire process — from scanning to selecting to vending — was streamlined to feel like magic, with no staff or instruction needed.
Fully Branded Shopping Experience: The mobile interface reflected the look, tone, and charm of the Punirunes universe, keeping fans immersed from start to finish.
Secure Payment Integration: Stripe integration provided a fast, reliable checkout experience with full transaction logging and compliance.
Retail Meets Entertainment: The machine functioned as both a point-of-sale system and a showpiece — drawing crowds and increasing interest through motion, sound, and character-driven design.
The Punirunes vending experience transformed a standard retail purchase into an interactive moment of joy. Fans got to browse, buy, and instantly hold their favorite character — all from a vending machine that doubled as an immersive brand platform. It was fast, fun, and frictionless — exactly what Punirunes was looking for.
